A public university in Fuzhou (provincial capital of Fujian Province) is looking for foreign teachers. If you are looking for unique and exciting teaching experience in the coastal southeast region, this is for you!



Work Location: Fuzhou, China
Contract Period: 1 year (September 2012 to August 2013). Yes we sponsor work visas for our foreign teachers.
Teaching Subjects: 1.Music Appreciation 2. English
Students: 1st & 2nd Year College Students
Workload: 20 teaching hrs/week (weekdays）; Other course-related work such as assignments and exams.



COURSE DESCRIPTION - Music Appreciation
This course provides integrated study of Western musical heritage and genres, and
also is intended to inspire further music study. In order to improve students’ musical
vocabulary it begins with the introduction of music language as well as folk,
instrumental, and vocal music. Students are educated in the basic fundamentals of
music (timbre, beat and tempo, meter, pitch and mode, intervals, melody, texture and
harmony) and how to be aware of them in the music of today’s (and yesterday’s)
world. Competitions for enjoyment that feature these fundamentals of music language
are a widely employed teaching method.



Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be:
• a native English speaker;
• with a Master's degree or above;
• a TESOL/TEFL certificate or equivalent preferred;
• 1-2 years or more teaching experience preferred;
• between 25 and 60 years old, in good physical condition;
• with high commitment and good communication skills.



Salary and Benefits:
• Competitive monthly salary: RMB 10,000.00 / Month
• Airfare and travel allowance up to 10,000 RMB for coming from and going back to home country based on successful completion of the contract.
• Housing provided near the workplace.
