Intensive summer courses for international students of
English or Spanish take place in July and August.

subject to change).

Accommodations are
provided in the teacher’s residence, a furnished apartment three blocks from
the school.
Teachers are responsible for the cost of food, utilities and
personal needs, as well as transportation to and from Mexico.
Students age from 3 to 50 years old.
Max 12 students\class.
7:00 a.m. -- 9:00 p.m. Teachers may be assigned
classes during any of these hours.
5,000 pesos per month (approx 450 U.S. Dollars).
2 week paid vacation at Easter or Christmas.
Free accommodation in fully furnished.
Free Spanish classes.
Five Months Contract.
-30 teaching hours a week.
teachers are provided with a teacher’s guide, suggesting how each lesson be
taught, as well as a copy of the students book and workbook. Some courses
also include cassettes. Other resources available to teachers are charts,
flash cards, games realia, a limited video selection, and a photocopier. In
addition, teachers may find it necessary to develop their own classroom
aids. In this case they may order materials through the school. Any
materials you bring with you will prove to be an asset.
Teachers can be accommodated with a local family or live co-ed in the
teacher’s residence, each with private bedroom. Teachers who live with a
family are charged monthly to cover the cost of food and utilities, teachers
in the residences are responsible for utilities, cleaning supplies, personal
needs and food. Accommodations are all within walking distance of school
Teachers need to present a smart
appearance. Jeans, shorts, mini-skirts and flip flop sandals are not
appropriate.
Drug taking is illegal in Mexico.
Mexican climate and the strength of
tequila can make a rather unpleasant combination!! Please use moderation
with your alcohol intake!
Teachers could be sharing the accommodation with others of differing ages,
cultures etc.
Sick pay is paid as the usual pay if the teacher seeks medical advice and
follows the doctor’s recommendations.
